So Tonight That I Might See moves at its own pace. Hope Sandoval’s voice seems to hover above David Roback’s hazy guitar, and Fade Into You sets the mood without giving away everything the album has to offer. The space around the notes matters as much as the melodies.
If you are drawn to dream pop with a bluesy, late-night undertow, spend some time with Into Dust and Five String Serenade. This is a record to let unfold rather than skip through.
Edition: LP.
